The character of Peter Pan first appeared in Sir J.M. Barrie's 1902 novel The Little White Bird as an infant who flies away from home to live among the birds and fairies of Kensington Gardens. The portion of The Little White Bird concerning Peter Pan was later given it's own book, Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens after the titular character became well-known. Peter Pan or The Boy That Wouldn't Grow Up was a play written by Barrie in 1904. It was a giant success. And in 1911, Barrie wrote the novel version of the play, Peter and Wendy, or as it later became known as, Peter Pan. Several sequels, prequels and movies have been written/made based on J.M. Barrie's original vision, but the canon material is what I base my art/stories of Peter Pan on. While you're here, please enjoy my [forever unfinished] Peter Pan comic, Adventurous Soul. :)
