Originally I was just trying to draw an albino mermaid, because I thought that would look awesome, but then I ended up drawing all of my favorite mermaids currently living in Mermaid Lagoon, on Neverland. You guys should recognize a couple of them from the comic, but the albino is new, and the unamused looking mermaid in the background is a character we're going to be seeing quite a bit of, she's the boys 'favorite' mermaid.

I wanted to color the albino to illustrate more mermaid anatomy. Without any pigment, you can see the feeding membranes at the ends of her hair. My mermaids don't have real 'hair', their hair is a feeding tool that absorbs micro-organisms from the water around them. Their 'hair' stops growing at a certain point, is very aqua dynamic as water can easily pass right through it, and doesn't weight them down or absorb water. :3

I like the markings on the albino one and that you gave their anatomy so much thought. The green one is stealing all attention though, she's adorable.
